Dominate Online Niche Marketing - Know How People Search the Internet

Did you know that almost 60% of internet marketing adopts some kind of online niche marketing strategy? This is why online niche marketing has taken the internet by storm and will continue to do so for a long time to come. It has everything to do with the psychology of how people search the internet.

Here is a simple illustration. When you need to search information or data from the internet, you would probably google the specific key terms that you are interested in finding out more. You would get a list of articles in the internet which contains your specific term and you run through the list. You probably would not run through the entire exhaustive list but choose to research the first 2 – 3 pages of listing for the information you need.

Search behavior in the internet has re-defined how internet marketers provide their product offerings in the internet. They niche their products by very focused target segmentation, and provide specifically what people want. The benefit of online or internet niche marketing to the internet user is that this approach reduces user search frustration, enhances efficiency in the user search process, and directs the user to exactly what he or she wants, be it information, products or services. To the internet marketers, their online niche product offerings move much faster comparative to a mass marketing concept.

The approach adopted by the online niche marketer to target his or her market is a very focused and disciplined strategy. With a product or a portfolio of product offering on hand, and assuming that there is sufficient market demand, the online niche marketer would actively research on keyword search in the internet. This is to find out the specific key terms related to the product offerings, the nature of the products, and all relevant related search terms. The internet marketer then creates his website and all his marketing materials based on the core and related search terms in order that users who search the internet would be able to find his website and products directly and easily. Of course, this is a simplified version of the efforts that goes into creating your successful online niche marketing.

The more focused and niche targeted the online niche marketing content, the more relevant the content is to the user, and yields better results. Dominating page 1 to 2 of your related niche in google search is important as this gives you a greater exposure and chance of being found on the internet. Hence, for online niche marketing, the internet approach “Less is More” often than not, is usually more lucrative to the internet marketer.

This is the very fundamental reason why online niche marketing is so powerful and is also why unless you are providing a mall concept whereby you have a very wide range of products to sell in the internet, you would probably be well advised to adopt the online niche marketing business model in internet marketing.

So remember the Online Niche Marketing business model - Less Is More.

    Guide on Niche Product Creation

Creating niche products are as simple to some as it is complicated for others. There are the lucky those who can churn out niche products after niche product with the ease of a magician pulling out tricks. Still there are those who struggle even when the ideas had already struck them. Pulling it off just isn’t as easy when compared to those who have done it, sometimes time and time again. There is a simple method though that are usually followed by the more experienced in niche marketing. Compiled here are the common approaches that can prove to be helpful. Here is where they usually start: Finding out where the main interest lies. Pretty much the same as approaching a hobby, niche products creation works better when the creator of the product has passion in what he does. The creator sometimes digs deep into his interests, sometimes not, but always feeling that it is there, ready to be taken out of its boxes. Niche products creation may or may not require much thinking at first but when it is identified it will require lots and lots of planning. The main thing though is that in any niche product creation, the creator must have a deep interest in the product that he is trying to create. This not only ensure the products birth but also sustains it trough the hard work that will be lying ahead. All has to start from within. If it is not an entirely new product, niche product creation can also focus in improving existing ones. Most niche products creation are actually improvements and innovations from those that are already selling. Yet the marketer has developed a sensitivity to what is needed to improve a product and sell it better. Combining ideas and improving on them. Also very much similar to the practice on improving on existing ones except that niche product creation in this approach combines many ideas and approaches of improvements on different angles. Solving a problem. All niche product creation has to solve a problem or a particular need. Planning and conceptualizing has to focus on this. Adapting an existing product and marketing that on a different niche. A product for example that is marketed as a thirst quencher can be remarketed as an energy or tonic beverage. Using the current selling trend Use of current hot trends and building your niche product creation from them. Combining products and repackaging Providing products have no restriction stipulated in its master resell rights terms, you can bundle these products, repackage them and sell them as a set. When the product is ready, you can, Use of public domain information You can also find work whose copyrights has expired in the “public domain”. Search engines can lead you to them at no extra cost. These can also be reworked and make it into a selling product. Utilize private label products These are products created by another that you can re brand and sell. Usually these comes in the form of written content that could be adopted by modification and adding your own version to it. Conducting surveys on the net. Your web visitors are also good sources of information on the product that can be used for niche product creation. Post a survey questionnaire on it and valuable information can be then sifted for your product. Asking questions gives you excellent opportunities at creating new product niches.

Selecting a Niche That’s Right for You

Most everyone starting out in the field of internet marketing has heard the advice of selecting a niche, selecting the ‘right’ niche for you, or even dominating a sub niche. Well how do you identify a niche in the first place let alone finding the ‘right’ one for you?A niche is simply a ‘category’ of products or services that serve related purposes. Broken down further each niche can contain smaller niches within them such as in the case of furniture. Furniture in general encompasses those pieces in a room that equip it for more comfortable living conditions such as a sofa, chairs, bed, or any other related item. A sub niche would be more specified such as lawn furniture. In niche marketing the selection process is critical. You may want to target something you have a passion for. Perhaps even something you have an interest in learning about. Your knowledge base and enthusiasm for the subject will be instrumental in presenting you as an authority.Still can’t narrow down that market you want to work in? Well conduct a keyword research within one of the markets you’ve already considered. What this further market research will do is uncover other ideas or aspects you may have overlooked. This should set off an entirely new search for you in terms of that particular niche.Another benefit of doing keyword research is the ability to see how congested or competitive a niche may be by the number of search results that comes up. A key point here is to select a niche that isn’t overly huge (competitive) according to the search results but is still big enough to be profitable. What you’re doing is ‘fishing where the fish are but not necessarily where the other fisherman goes.’Of course we’re also going to base our niche marketing efforts around particular keywords that are searched upon within that particular niche.Looking closer we see that if you focus more on keyword phrases (long tail keywords) instead of just keywords we can more deeply define our niche. For example using our previous furniture search case study, instead of targeting ‘furniture’ we can focus on ‘lawn furniture’ or perhaps ‘Adirondack outdoor furniture’ which is even more targeted.Essentially by doing this we’re further distancing ourselves from the ‘pack’ which means less competition but yet it’s still a profitable market!Whatever you ultimately choose remember when selecting a niche to be sure you have an interest level that will sustain your enthusiasm since this will make your efforts one hell of a lot easier. This enthusiasm will also be reflected in the quality of your content. Make no mistake about it that this will be noticed by your website visitors.

Niche Marketing: What Exactly is It?

Niche marketing is a term that gets kicked around a lot, but what does it really mean and how can it put more money into your pocket? Keep reading to find out.
A niche market is a smaller, very focused group of people who share a common set of interests and needs. These people are looking for a very specific product or service.
So niche marketing is about finding these tightly focused groups of people, understanding what they want, and selling it to them. This superb strategy will decrease the amount of competition you encounter and great increase your chances of converting cash sales.
Most people, when asked about a niche market will respond with a lot of general topics. For instance many entrepreneurs seem to think horse training, dog grooming, alternative energy, healthcare, and online business are niches.
These areas are all very broad, highly competitive market, not niches. On the other hand, training injured horses to compensate for their bad leg, stylish hair bows made especially for black toy poodles, a guide on the best solar powered flashlight, tips on how to care for men with a particular type of dementia, and software that helps you build a better shopping cart are all examples of possible niche products/services.
I say possible because while these are all very tightly focused concepts, they are not real niche markets until you know for certain a group of people is actively looking to spend money on them. Getting focused in only one part of the niche marketing formula; the second and equally critical piece of the puzzle is in identifying your customers.
In fact the process of finding a niche market actually begins with the search for your potential customers. Most people make the mistake of finding what they believe to be a great product first, and then looking for someone to sell this product to. This is the fast-track to disappointment. You always need to find the people you’ll market to first, and then worry about the exact product you’ll offer.
You can start with a general idea, like a hobby or a skill you have. But before you begin to build a business around this idea you absolutely must be sure there are ample people online who are interested in your idea.
There are a number of good keyword research utilities online that can help you begin your quest for the right niche market. In essence a keyword research tool will tell you what terms people are searching for on engines like Google and Yahoo, and in many cases you can even find out how frequently the popular terms are being queried!
Once you know what terms are being searched, you’ll want to see for yourself what searchers are finding on the major engines when they enter these terms. Are there thousands of sites selling products and services related to these searches, or are there only a handful of sites offering any information related to the keywords you’ve found?
In the ideal scenario you’ll find a group of related keywords that are searched on quite a bit, and then confirm that very few (or no) sites can be found to provide a solution to the searcher’s problem. This qualifies as a legitimate niche marketing opportunity.
The research phase is the most important step in the process of launching an online business. And it’s the step most people skimp on or avoid altogether.
Sadly, this is why most people flop miserably with their online venture. They never bother to find out if anyone else cares about their idea, and they end up developing a product nobody wants.
Now that you understand the basics of what niche marketing is you can avoid making this costly mistake. Find your tightly focused group of potential customers, find out what it is they want/need, and then get to work figuring out how you’ll be the person to offer them what they are looking for!

Using Niche Marketing to Find a Niche

Niche markets provide a product or service for a specific group of customers who have very specific needs. One of the biggest mistakes that new online business owners make is ignoring the concept of niche marketing and focusing on big markets that appear to be big moneymakers.

While this can be quite tempting, there is simply too much competition in the big markets. Those who are new to the online business world don’t stand a chance of competing against companies who have already cornered the market.

With niche marketing, it is a different story. Entrepreneurs can significantly increase their chances of success by focusing on specific niche markets. You determine a need and develop products and services that will satisfy that need.

Niche marketing also provides you with an opportunity to market to a very specific audience. By targeting your audience, you can easily tailor advertising and promotional campaigns that are almost guaranteed to work.

By now, you’re probably wondering how to go about finding niche markets. Fortunately, it’s much easier than one would think. The key is to find a group large enough to produce a reasonable volume of business, but small enough to be looked over by your competition.

The following steps will teach you the ins and outs of finding a niche market.

    Step One
The first step involves research and may take some time on your part. If you need to, break these research sessions up over a span of a few days. This will ensure that you have ample time to properly research potential niche markets.

To start, open two Internet windows. Set one at www.google.com and set the other at http://inventory.overture.com.

    Step Two
To find niche marketing opportunities, start doing a few searches in these search engines. Try basic products that you may be interested in selling, such as digital cameras, computer software, or Siamese cat toys.

By entering products into these two search engines, you can find out the number of searches the products have per month and determine how much competition exists in the market. Google and similar search engines will tell you how many results pages are out there for a specific search term, allowing you to gauge the extent of your competition, and http://inventory.overture.com will help you determine what sort of customer base you have be telling you how many people entered a specific search term in a given month.

    Step Three
Analyze your findings. The level of competition that can be found in the market determines the best niche markets to get into. Though some competition is good, too much competition is bad. Niche marketing only works if there is demand and a market for the product or service that is being sold.

Though opinion varies when it comes to the numbers, in general, a word that has between 10,000 and 2,000,000 searches per month is considered an opportunity for niche marketing. Let’s see some examples:

    Example 1
    Digital Camera
The term yielded 1,312,659 searches and 239,000,000 results pages. This is a big market with plenty of competition.

    Example 2
    Computer Software
The term yielded 101,294 searches and 1,550,000,000 results pages. This is a big market with HUGE levels of competition.

    Example 3
    Siamese Cat
The term yielded 16,314 searches and 1,800,000 results pages. Niche marketing could work here! This has high search volume relative to competition.

    Step Four
Choose your niche. Now that you have some niche markets to choose from, you can find the one that is the best fit for you. Afterwards, all that is left to do is enjoy your niche marketing experience.

    How To Find Micro Niches

4 Niche Marketing SecretsIf you are tired of the rat race and feel like being your own boss, then online niche marketing has a lot to offer you! With the prevalence of all of the affiliate marketing that has appeared on the internet and with a greater awareness of what the world has to offer, there is a growing need and a growing amount of opportunity for people who are involved in niche marketing. In niche marketing, as in all marketing, you are identifying a need and filling it, but the online difference is you are able target a smaller market that has very specific needs. If this is a process that interests you, learn these four essential facts1.Do your research!Affiliate marketing opportunities are out there, but how can you tell what opportunities are the ones best for you? This is where market research comes in, and if you have an interest in this field, market research is imperative. What do people need, and why are they not getting it? Can you provide it to them? The essence of niche marketing is understanding that there are always gaps out there that you can fill.2.Work your advantages. When it comes to businesses, there is a lot to be said in the debate of big business versus smaller businesses. You’ll soon see though, that there are a number of different opportunities that you can advantage of when it comes to being a small business. Take some time and really think about what you can do that a bigger business cannot. Personalized care, one on one service, and a great deal of understanding of your customer’s needs can do a lot to put you on top of the competition.3.Don’t be afraid to communicate.Personal communication on a one on one level is very important if you are going to be a niche marketer. You’ll find that your customers will appreciate a more personal touch, and that you’ll be able to get a lot of good feedback this way too. When you start niche marketing, you might find that you have mis-aimed slightly, and your customers, particularly if they like what you provide and would like to see more of you, can put you back on track.4.Don’t be afraid to change your mind or be flexible.Another advantage that you have over people who are less focused is that you have a great deal of maneuverability when it comes to what it is you really want to do. If you find that something isn’t working the initial investment that you have made will be significantly smaller than otherwise, and you’ll find that you can adjust your business plan to handle every goal you set.Niche marketing is both lucrative and fun, and when you learn how to reach your target market, and deliver what they want, it can become a highly profitable venture that gives you more than just an income.

Four Ways To Use Niche Marketing

Niche marketing is being used a lot by businesses to help them succeed in the over crowded Internet marketplace. The Internet has allowed for business start up being easy and makes running an online business almost automatic. This means there is even more competition than ever for customers.
Niche marketing solves that problem. It is a way to focus your attention on a single group of customers that is most likely to buy your product or service. This group is going to be the most loyal and they will make up your biggest profit base.
Once you have done your research and defined your target niche market you have to learn how to use it to your advantage to make your business successful. Here are four ways you can use niche marketing to boost your earning potential.
    1. Advertise where your niche market is most likely to look. A niche market is going to be people with similar backgrounds, ideas and interests. It shouldn’t be too hard to define some places where your niche market is most likely to frequent.
    2. Say the right thing. You have to talk to your niche market the way that they talk. For example, if your niche market is a teenager, then use some teenage lingo and speak to them in a way that they will understand. Do not talk down to your niche market, but rather go to them on the same level and communicate with them. If you need help find someone in your target niche and ask him or her for his or her opinion.
    3. Make sure you are addressing a unique need. You want to stand out from your competition and address a need that nobody else is addressing. You may have to do a little market research to find out what people want that they are not getting from the current products or services that are already available to them. But it will be well worth your time.
    4. Make sure the price is right. The whole point of finding your niche market is so that you can cater to their needs. One of the most important things you can do is to make sure that the price you set for your product is one that your niche can afford. If you are selling something to a niche market that is in a medium income bracket then you don’t want to price your product for those that are in a higher income bracket or you will lose sales.
Making the most of your niche marketing efforts is essential. There is no point in using niche marketing if you are not going to take all the necessary steps to ensure you are using it right. Niche marketing can be very successful if you do everything you can to ensure you are taking full advantage of it. Once you find a hungry niche market you will discover that it was well worth all of your time and efforts.

Making Smart Money With Niche Marketing

As Internet marketing evolves, you’ll find it more difficult to remain at the top of your markets. More competition means that you’ll be working harder and probably making less money for your efforts. Working harder for less money doesn’t sound too appealing, does it?

We’ve all seen the hyped up ads -

    - Work Only 15 Minutes a Day and Make Thousands of Dollars Every Week!

    - Secret Ebook Reveals Easy Path to Wealth Without Work!

    - Promote This Product and Make Millions!

    - Sign Up for Free and Make Money Today!

Although the ads paint a bright picture of the good life, those things never worked for me or anyone I know. If there is some ‘magic button’ that brings instant wealth, I’ve never been able to find it. But there is a way to drastically improve your bottom line, while minimizing your investment of time and money. It’s called Niche Marketing.

    What exactly is Niche Marketing?

Niche marketing is the process of finding a small segment of the market that’s highly focused and presenting that market with the exact product they’re looking for. By a small segment, I’m referring to a group of prospects that has a special interest that’s probably not currently being addressed by most marketers.

Let’s say for example that you want to sell car insurance. If you go to google and search for car insurance, you’ll see there are over 150 million webpages that you’ll be competing with, so your chances of making money in that market don’t look too promising. However, if you narrow your search down to “car insurance for teenagers with bad driving records”, there are zero webpages, so there’s virtually no competition!

Do you think there are many teenagers that have bad driving records? You betcha! And do you think those types of drivers end up paying high premiums? You betcha! Do you think there’s easy money to be made in such a lucrative market that has little or no competition? You betcha!

Of course, car insurance is just being used as an example and you may be involved in an entirely different business altogether. But the basic idea of niche marketing can be applied just about everywhere.

Suppose you want to be an affiliate marketer. You can open a free account at Commission Junction, LinkShare, ClickBank or countless other affiliate related sites. Then you’ll be able to choose from thousands of different products that you can start marketing right away. And since you’ll be an affiliate, you won’t have to bother with creating a product, shipping, credit card processing or customer service. All that will be handled directly by the product vendor, so you can concentrate strictly on marketing - and that’s where you’ll make your money.

Now that you have the general idea of what niche marketing is, how it works and how it can make you money, you’ll need to locate a potential niche market and provide that market with just the type of product they desperately want.

    Finding Niche Markets -

There are several places you can look to discover niche markets. You could visit Dummies.com - that’s the publisher that produces all those top selling ‘For Dummies’ books. They’ve already uncovered lots of hot niches for you. Just browse thru their book selections and you should be able to come up with several good niche marketing ideas.

You can also check pulse.ebay.com to see the current top ten sellers, so you can see what’s selling now. Be sure to also look at the top sellers at Amazon for even more ideas.

Once you’ve found an interesting niche market, look thru the affiliate products available at ClickBank, Amazon or whatever affiliate site you’ve signed up for. When you find a good product match, checkout the product sales page to make sure it does a good job of selling the product.

Next, search thru google and see how much competition there is. You’ll want to enter markets where the competition isn’t too fierce, so you’ll have a better chance for success.

    Exploiting Niche Markets -

When you’ve decided upon a particular niche market and you’ve found a good product match that doesn’t have too much competition, you’ll need to use Pay-Per-Click(PPC) or some other form of advertising to get prospects to the sales page, thru your affiliate link of course. PPC is a good choice because of fast results - you can start generating traffic within minutes of placing an ad, so you’ll quickly know if you’ve chosen a good niche.

When placing PPC ads, you’ll want to make sure that you use the proper keywords to attract the niche market you’re targeting. There are free online keyword tools you can use, as well as specialized software you can purchase to help with this task. With proper keyword selection for your PPC campaigns, you’ll be able to attract genuinely interested prospects while keeping your click cost as low as possible.

The real beauty of niche marketing is it’s so targeted that you’ll be offering just the right product to the prospects that are in desperate need, so when they look at your ad or sales page, they’re already half-sold right from the beginning!

    Automate the Process -

Finding niche markets can really pay off, but you may not want to take the time to find those markets manually. This is a great time to put your PC to work - let it find those lucrative niches for you. With the right software, you can automate the somewhat tedious process while you concentrate on other aspects of running your business!

    Niche Marketing And Monetizing Traffic

Establishing your own internet marketing E-commerce niche marketing site is not like what it used to be. There are thousands of competition that are all too willing to get a bigger share of the pie. Every scheme and method you can find to augment your sales would be very beneficial and a key part to this is found in niche marketing.
We have got to admit to ourselves, most of us are in this internet marketing game for the money and a key component to internet marketing is ensuring your product or service follows disciplined niche marketing principles. We are not going in this to waste our time and effort just for the fun of it. Many websites would not wait until hell freezes over just to see their profits. While there are some who takes things lightly there are always those who would rather see profit any given day and that means website traffic.
It is common knowledge that without website traffic we have no internet marketing business. Like any business, without any customers you don’t get sales. Website traffic represents all the people that gets a chance to see what you have to offer. The more people who see your products the more people there will be to buy them.
Nobody ever puts up an internet marketing E-commerce site that doesn’t expect profit. As in any business there is a startup capital costs that needs to be regained. With consistent website traffic, we at least have a fighting chance to achieve that probability. Monetizing your website traffic and the skillful use of niche marketing will optimize your chances of making the best out of it.
Making Money out of your website traffic:
The best and most proven method of making a profit out of your traffic is using advertising in the appropriate marketing niche. The internet generates hundreds of thousands upon hundred of thousands of website traffic everyday. Most of the users are searching for something. While some are just looking for information there is also a good percentage that are internet marketing people looking for something that they need to buy in a particular marketing niche, this is why niche marketing is so critical with your internet marketing business.
The internet has proven to be a very reliable source in finding what was deemed to be a very unsearchable product because all product fall into a particular marketing niche. The internet has made the world a smaller place; you can advertise a product from the depths of Istanbul and still find a buyer from the center of Philadelphia providing you have website traffic.
Generating website traffic is not an easy task. You have to contend with a great number of sites to generate a good number of traffic flow. But if done successfully in the correct marketing niche this could open up a Pandora’s Box of possibilities. One of the benefits is monetizing your website traffic flow and using niche marketing as part of your business strategy.
So, to get to the core of it with niche marketing the more traffic you generate the more likely you are considered as a desirable, desirable, in a sense that a good traffic flowing site is easily convertible to profit. Basically traffic equals profit. Advertising is the name of the game; with the good advertising scheme you can use your traffic flow to your advantage.
When you have good traffic you have a good number of potential customers, customers that are willing to pour money into your coffers because you will have found them through using niche marketing in your strategy. Other than that these are also traffic that can be redirected to sponsored links that are willing to pay you for a sizeable portion of the traffic that you have generated.
This scheme is called “pay-per-click”. With every click a visitor of your site makes on an advertised link you will be paid. The more traffic you generate and the more clicks that happens would spell to more profits. This is a great way to enhance your business as you make sure that the results of your niche marketing analysis is used in your advertising.
    Affiliate Programs:
Another method of monetizing your website traffic whilst using niche marketing is to use affiliate programs. You can link up with other tried and tested sites and online companies and monetize your traffic by having a percentage of sales generated by traffic coming from your site.
The basic idea is, use niche marketing effectively in your internet marketing strategies and then traffic generated from your site will go to another site that can offer a product that you do not carry.
