I need help with business ideas!!?

Question by Cyber Stalker: The Return: I need help with business ideas!!?
I want to start a business or maybe even more than one, but I am terrified that the markets are already saturated. One business idea is to import off label bluetooth headsets, MP3 players, and other various electronics, but when I checked on ebay I say there was already tons of the off label cheaper brands. I then thought about selling out of a store front, but that takes more overhead. The other business is disposable or consumable medical goods. Items like rubber gloves, maskes, syringes, etc…, but I am afraid of saturation in that market also.

Can some one give me some advise or encouragement. If anyone knows of niche market that is untouched please let me know!!!

One idea is vacuum cleaners. Fuller brushes sell good. So does Avon.

No seriously, I would look on ebay for something that you see a demand for but only has a couple offered on ebay. That would give you an idea of what people are looking for that has a small supply.

Dear Party,

Here’s my answer.

1. Direct marketing is continuing to become more ________ oriented.
> online (email + web)

2. Which of the following is NOT a reason that direct-mail marketing drives approximately one third of all U.S. direct marketing sales?
a. less expensive than TV and magazine ads
> b. high target market selectivity
c. ability to be personalized
d. measurable results
e. flexibility

3. What characteristic of niche sites makes the medium MOST appealing to marketers?
> Responsiveness, because segmentation drives better results, significantly, but needs more work from marketers

4. Neal Murphy sells his company’s unique gift items on television programs broadcast on a channel that is entirely dedicated to selling goods and services. Neal is using ________.
> home shopping channel marketing

5. ABC Company sells directly to final consumers and avoids intermediaries, while catering to a broad group of demographic segments. This marketer falls under which online marketing domain
> business-to-consumers (B2C)

6. Which of the following is a factor that is likely to push a company to decide NOT to enter international markets?
a. The company’s home market is stagnant.
> b. The company would have to redesign its products.
c. The company needs to counterattack international competitors in their home markets.
d. Foreign markets present higher profit opportunities.
e. Global competitors have offered similar products at lower prices.

RATIONALE: b) The company would have to redesign its products. Because it’s a cost (that could be significant) that the company has to pay upfront to enter the market. a) and d) are favorable reasons to enter international market. c) could be perceived as an hindrance to enter other national markets, but of a lesser extent because the company in its own country is probably already competing with those competitors, so doing the same outside its national market doesn’t really make any difference. e) is an stronger hindrance to entering other national markets, but not as much because products can be sold at slightly higher price since there’s always a place for better quality products. Anyways, the company will still have the choice to adjust its prices to match competition.

7. Which of the following is a sociocultural factor that a company should consider before deciding to enter an international market?
a) political stability
b) population density
c) education
d) income distribution
> e) consumer lifestyles, beliefs, and values

RATIONALE: e) consumer lifestyles, beliefs, and values. First because this one is driven by or includes all the other factors. Second, it’s the highest factor in the socialcultural scale.

8. An international company that takes a(n) ________ view takes into account the entire global supply chain and marketing channel, forging an effective global value delivery network.
> 360-degree view

9. Coca-Cola markets internationally by ________ bottlers around the world for a fee or royalty and then supplying them with the syrups needed to produce Coke products
> charging

10. To maximize the toothpaste market in China, Crest needs to convince more of the Chinese population to brush their teeth. Which of the following would Crest be most likely to use to accomplish this?
> (forgot to provide alternatives)

11. A long-standing charge against intermediaries is that they mark up prices beyond the ________.
> reasonable, acceptable

12. Large marketing companies can use patents and heavy promotion spending to ________.
> outshadow competitors and hamper new players from entering the market.

13. Environmentalists assert that the marketing system’s goal should be to maximize ________.
> consciousness

14. Companies emphasizing ________ are developing “green marketing” programs that develop ecologically safer products, recyclable and biodegradable packaging, more energy-efficient operations, and better pollution controls.
> sustainability

15. The American Marketing Association (AMA) has created a code of ethics that includes all of the following ethical values EXCEPT which one?

To Help Businesses Survive in This Bad Economy, a Leading Marketing Firm Offers Free Marketing Strategy Sessions

To Help Businesses Survive in This Bad Economy, a Leading Marketing Firm Offers Free Marketing Strategy Sessions

Green Bay, WI (PRWEB) June 10, 2008

The Geisheker Group, Inc., one of the worldÂ?s most respected marketing firms (http://www.geisheker.com), today announces that for the next 6-months it will offer free 30-minute telephone marketing strategy brainstorming sessions to help companies based in the USA and Canada.

The reason why The Geisheker Group, Inc. is offering this free service is to help businesses survive this economic downturn.

Peter Geisheker, CEO of The Geisheker Group, Inc., states, Â?The quality of a companyÂ?s marketing is the biggest factor in determining if a company will survive this economic downturn. From my experience as a direct-response marketing consultant, I can honestly say that most of the marketing I see today is awful, with the worst being marketing that focuses only on branding instead of generating immediate sales. That is why companies are losing money on their marketing campaigns instead of generating a positive return on investment. Businesses need to focus their marketing on creating exciting benefit-driven offers that stimulate customers to buy now. Companies that do this will gain market share and give themselves the greatest chance of surviving the recession we are facing.Â?

When a business calls The Geisheker Group, Inc. for a free 30-minute marketing strategy brainstorming session, here is what they can expect:

How to select the best niche market for their specific product or service

How to create benefit-driven direct response marketing to generate more sales now

Marketing strategies a business can employ today to immediately increase sales

Sales techniques that will help a business immediately generate more sales

To schedule a free 30-minute brainstorming session with The Geisheker Group, Inc., please call 315-597-6524 or go to our website at http://www.geisheker.com and click on the contact us link.

Custom Rims Help You Stand Out From The Crowd

Custom Rims Help You Stand Out From The Crowd

About 11.4 million cars, trucks and SUV were sold in the United States last year.  That’s down from 16.6 million just a few years ago. A number of popular mainstream and niche nameplates are also quickly disappearing. GM, for example, recently eliminated their Pontiac, HUMMER, Saab and Saturn brands. As they push to become more streamlined, manufacturers are also offering fewer models, trim levels, options and colors for the vehicles they produce. As a result, more and more of today’s new cars look amazingly alike. Think about it! How many different new Ford F-Series pickups, Honda Accords or Ford Fusions do you really notice on the road today? Do you even notice them at all? And, if you do, what sets them apart from the crowd?

Smart tire retailers offer an amazingly wide selection, custom rims and affordable tire and wheel packages, along with high-performance car care products especially formulated to keep them looking great.

There’s a reason why we call what we own and drive our “wheels.” Nothing connects us more to the American road than our rims and tires. And, nothing sets us apart more dramatically.

The earliest steamers and gasoline-powered horseless carriages had beautifully hand-crafted wooden wheels. Over the years, modern designers and stylists have renewed the importance and visual impact of highly-styled, quality rims and wheels.  Chrysler started it with what they called their “wide, wheels to the corners” stance. Others followed with modern designs that feature wider, more prominent wheel openings often trimmed in eye-catching molding or body-cladding.

A jump on any tire retailers web site will wake you up to a world of beautifully-styled, high-quality custom chrome, polished and painted rims from well-know manufacturers such as Pulse, American Racing, Avenue, Cragar Classic and many others.

With a little computer magic you can click, cut and paste an image of practically any style rim you choose on to a photo of your own vehicle. You’ll be amazed at how the right rim can dramatically change the look and personality of your ride.

Expert sales professionals at most tire retailers can also advise you about the benefits of plus sizing. Installing lower profile tires on wider and larger diameter rims can really enhance the appearance and performance of your car.

They have the knowledge and experience to help you put together an affordable tire and wheel package that fits your needs and makes your car really stand out in a crowd.

And once you choose, tire retailers can also offer advice about metal polishes, special treatments for chrome, clear-coated or painted wheels, and cleaning tips to keep them looking great.

Life’s too short to be just ordinary. Custom chrome, polished or painted rims and affordable wheel and tire packages from your local tire retail can help you and your ride stand out from the crowd.
