The concept of niche marketing is one of the most important skills a beginning Internet marketer must understand before success would be possible on line. Choosing an area that has too much competition is the surest way to bring frustration to the beginning Internet marketer. The niche concept is difficult to learn in the beginning because the size of the Internet is often severely underestimated. Fortunes have been made on products and keywords that are virtually unknown to 99% of the population. In fact, my wife and I, quit two full-time jobs in the area of education by promoting and selling to products that I would venture to guess 99.9% of the population have never heard of. These niche products, although only known to a few, were enough for us to begin our online business and home and quit our day jobs. Finding the right niche in the keywords for that niche are an absolute must-have skill for building a successful Internet business.
